Established in 1988, the Department of Electro-Optical Engineering is a cutting-edge facility for the education of electro-optical technology. The Department has developed and been perfected through constant upgrades and evolution.
In 1987, the Department became affiliated with the Electro-Optical Division, Department of Electrical Engineering of the Private United Industrial School.
In 1988, the Division was reorganized into the Department of Electro-Optical Engineering.
In 1999, the Department was reorganized into the Department of Electro-Optical Engineering, National United Technology College.
In 2003, the Department was renamed the Department of Electro-Optical Engineering, National United University.
In 2007, the Department started recruiting students for its MA program.
